Narrative Repair - Sun Peeks

Narrative Repair - Sun Peeks is designed for children ages 8-11 who are old enough to ask hard questions about the environment yet still rely heavily on play and imagination. Card prompts use metaphor, gentle humor, and age-appropriate scenarios to explore fear, sadness, curiosity, and hope related to weather, disasters, and climate news.
Therapists can use Sun Peeks to bridge child-led play with more structured dialogue, supporting both emotional regulation and cognitive processing. The deck helps children notice "small sun peeks"-moments of safety, support, and agency-without minimizing the reality of their concerns.
