CAPT Intensive Program

The CAPT Intensive Program is our 12-hour, 2-day core training that teaches licensed mental health clinicians to apply the Climate Awareness Play Therapy seven-pillar framework with children and families. We move from ecological systems theory and chronic environmental stress to concrete play therapy case conceptualization, assessment, and intervention planning. You will learn how to differentiate climate-related anxiety, grief, and trauma from other presentations and to use play-based mechanisms of change-regulation, symbolic mastery, and systems integration-to restore developmental flexibility. The intensive is highly structured, evidence-based, and professionally defensible, giving you a clinically focused, nonpartisan way to address climate-related distress and positioning you to pursue the CAPT credential.
