CAPT Supervision Training

CAPT Supervision Training is a self-paced home study designed for licensed clinical supervisors who oversee clinicians working with climate-related distress in children and adolescents. We translate the CAPT seven-pillar framework into supervisory practice, focusing on case formulation, ethical and scope-of-practice considerations, parallel process, and supervisee regulation. Modules address how to help supervisees differentiate climate trauma from other stressors, select developmentally appropriate play therapy interventions, and document climate-informed care in a professionally defensible way. The training equips supervisors to cultivate climate-aware competence across teams, align with emerging professional standards, and integrate CAPT concepts into existing supervision models without overhauling their entire approach.
